Dr William Macdonald

Dr Bill Macdonald is a Nuclear Medicine Specialist at Fiona Stanley Hospital and Royal Perth Hospital in Perth, Western Australia.  He graduated from the University of Western Australia in 1981 and has trained in both paediatrics and nuclear medicine, completing the latter in 2000.  He has actively practised therapeutic nuclear medicine over the past 25 years, including radioactive iodine for thyroid disease, SIRT for liver cancers, PRRT for neuroendocrine tumours and PRLT for prostate cancer.  He remains active in theranostics clinical practice and research and has contributed to the COSA NET consensus guidelines.  He was previously President of the AANMS and Head of the Molecular Imaging and Therapy Service at Fiona Stanley and Royal Perth Hospitals.
