Monica is a senior staff specialist at the Prince of Wales and Sydney Children’s Hospitals in Sydney and a conjoint Associate Professor of Medicine at UNSW. She undertook training in Nuclear Medicine and thyroid cancer management in centres in Sydney and Perth as well as at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center in New York.  She has been the Chair of The Prince of Wales Hospital Thyroid Multi-Disciplinary Meetings since it was established in 2007.  In 2014 and 2015, she was the Scientific Program Director of a Thyroid Masterclass run by the AANMS.  In 2020, she was invited to join the Executive Board of TIRO (Thyroid International Recommendations Online).  She is a regular attender of local and international meetings including those run by the American Thyroid Association and the World Congress on Thyroid Cancer.
