A/Prof Cardaci is a Nuclear Medicine Physician in private practice in Perth. He also practices as a General Medicine Physician and is Associate Professor of Medicine at the University of Notre Dame. He has extensive clinical experience in therapeutic Nuclear Medicine in the and has been an investigator in a variety of therapeutic clinical trials. He currently is Principal Investigator for several current Theranostic clinical trials.

A/Prof Cardaci introduced Rhenium-188 SCT into Australia approximately ten years ago and has established a clinical service in his department. He was also a lead investigator in the multinational EPIC skin cancer trial, assessing the efficacy and outcomes of this treatment. He has been active in educating his Nuclear Medicine colleagues, and dermatologists, as to the role of topical brachytherapy in the management of non-melanomatous skin cancers.
